Vintage (circa 1932) Deisel - Wemmer - Gilbert's "Smile" wooden cigar box. (Made in Ohio.) The box measures 9" x 6" x 1.5". Lid is well aligned, and the metal hinges and clasp operate well. Portions of the tax stamp are affixed to the left corner. The first and third pictures make it look lighter colored than it is. The second picture best captures the color (true brown). I've had this since I was a kid in the 1960s, when I found it in my grandparent's attic. A very cool and collectible piece of tobacciana history.
