This plate came from the former country of Yugoslavia, which existed in central Europe between 1918-1992. Now there are 5 states in its place: Federal Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Rep. Of Coacia, Rep. Of Macedonia, Rep. Of Slovenia and Federal Rep. Of Yugoslavia.
In the front it reads Lipica 1580: Lipica is a village in Slovenia's Karst region where the Lipizzaner horse stud farm was established in 1580. It's a UNESCO Heritage place and it exists to this day, popular with tourists.
