This is a vintage ceramic lidded beer stein of the Heidelberg Castle (Heidelberg Schloss). This was made in West Germany. It features images done in relief of The Castle, flowers & a German Man & Woman. This was an estate sale find so exact age isn’t known. It would have to date from the late 1940’s to the late 1980’s. I believe the lid is pewter but I’m not 100% certain of that. There is a makers mark on the bottom as well as West Germany. It’s in very good shape. There is one cosmetic issue visible in the last pic. Not sure if it’s a crack that was repaired or if it is a flaw. It appears to be very secure either way.
