This is a lovely little box in Islamic taste
Sadely work technique with inlayed geometrical patterns, made from lighter and darker colored veneers, white Bakelite or bone, painted in red and green accents
Domed top, wider, decorated base
Velvety red paper lining inside
The lid is "hinged" with silk fabric
Fine brass clasp
Circa early / mid 1900's, most likely Syrian or Egyptian
Measurements: Approx. 4.5" x 3.25" at the base, 2.75" tall
Weighs about 5 oz.
Condition: Very Good overall. Please see photos below. All original. posible old restauration at the corner.
