I have an extremely old (1899, Mom had told me) pair of metal ice skate blades that attach to shoes. This pair is a Men's size 11 (length) with the attaching "boot grippers" adjustable to accommodate any foot width. If these were ever used, it doesn't show. They are marked "MFD BY UNION HARDWARE TORRINGTON CONN USA". They do not come with straps nor the tightening key; however, a wrench or pliers can substitute.
