The stunning set has a pedestal tea cup and a saucer that is raised around its scalloped edges: it is finished in a lustreware glaze.
The interior of both the cup and saucer feature a colorful, vivid design with an apple, grapes, and blackberries surrounded along the lip by gold motifs. The outside of the cup features a wide pale yellow band with gold edging. The elaborate handle is finished in gold.
The E-3141 stamp on the bottom is inclusive and research conflicts whether this set was produced in England or in Japan: both countries were known for their production of fine china and lustreware during the 1950s.
Not for use in the microwave. Hand washing is recommended.
Excellent condition: no chips, cracks, or crazing.
