Beautiful vintage Japanese Dragon Ware Moriage tea set, featuring hand-painted raised enamel dragon designs with gold accents on a smoky gray background. This classic mid-century export porcelain is highly collectible and known for its detailed moriage (raised) decoration and dramatic dragon motif.
Set includes 8 cups with matching saucers, sugar bowl with lid, creamer and tea pot. (see photos for exact pieces included). Each piece is marked Made in Occupied Japan and Hand Painted, dating this set to the post-World War II era (circa late 1940searly 1950s).
The dragons are richly detailed with textured raised enamel, hand-applied gold trim, and expressive faces, making this a striking display or serving set.
