A beautiful pair of vintage mid-century ceramic wall plaques featuring the "Moon and Star" celestial motif. Produced from molds by the Arnel's company, this set acts as a representative example of the "Space Age" or "Atomic" nursery aesthetic popular during the 1950s and 1960s. The set includes two angel figures: one seated on a yellow crescent moon and one riding a blue five-pointed star.
Maker: Arnel's (marked "arnel's © co" on reverse).
Type: Hobbyist ceramic cast from original commercial molds.
Finish: "Cold paint" technique on bisque. This method applies matte paint to fired ceramic without a secondary glaze firing, creating a soft, non-reflective surface texture.

Very Good Vintage Condition. The hand-painted details, particularly on the faces and eyes, are well-preserved with vibrant coloration. There is a single small chip on the tip of the pink wing of the Moon angel.
