Eggshell dinner plates in Heather Rose patter. Pattern is a beautiful arrangement of ice-pink roses, small purple flowers, and clusters of green leaves and sprigs. Gold trim and center circle. The Heather Rose pattern blends effortlessly with other pink and green floral dishware. Made in 1948 in Newell, West Virginia, the eggshell style was called eggshell because of its lightweight composition that mirrored fine china and porcelain without the hefty price tag. Delicate like the shell of an egg, all the dishes in this series had an elegant appearance, feminine color palettes, and a fragile yet also surprisingly strong composition.
