The Tyrrell P34, known as the "6-wheeled F1 machine," debuted in 1976 as an innovative vehicle. Its unique design, with four front wheels, aimed to reduce aerodynamic drag and improve front grip. At the Japan GP, Patrick Depailler drove car number 4, challenging the first-ever race held at Fuji Speedway in heavy rain. That year, the P34 demonstrated high competitiveness, including Jody Scheckter's victory at the Swedish GP. However, at the Japan GP, it struggled with the track conditions and difficult settings, resulting in Depailler finishing towards the bottom. Overall in 1976, the P34 contributed to a 3rd-place finish in the Constructors' Championship, and its unconventional design and moderate success have left a deep mark on F1 history.
