First printing of the first mass market paperback edition of The Sixth Man by Jess Stearn (MacFadden Books, 1962). A unique look at LGBTQ persons in the 1960s based on the interviews and reporting by Stearn - who posits that one in every six men is likely homosexual, hence the book’s title. Some mild rubbing/scuffing to covers and shelf wear around the edges - including some bumps, creases and small tears, especially to corners and bottom edge of front cover. Spine is slightly curved though binding remains firm. Some small creases and tears to bottom edge of first several pages, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked though tanned.
