Hands down the best file server/RAID and backup/mirroring solution I’ve ever used. The DS220J supports up to 108 GB with either two 3.5" or 2.5" drives and is powered by a 4-core 1.4 GHz CPU with 512 MB of RAM. Since my storage needs aren’t huge, I installed two Seagate IronWolf drives (4 TB each, 8 TB total), which have been absolutely reliable. I originally paid €300 for the DS220J and another €300 for the IronWolf drives about 4 years ago. The unit has always been kept in a clean, smoke-free environment. The disks alone still cost €225 today on PC Components.
