This is a fan-made hack of Sonic 1. Sonic is running and jumping around like usual, until an evil Sonic starts chasing him. If he catches you, yikes! You have to break an item monitor for him to go away. It's pretty challenging. There is a level select option on the start screen.
The gameplay photos are of me playing this on my Sega Genesis at home. It will work in a North American NTSC Sega Genesis and a Retro Trio console. May not work in a RetroN. I haven't tested it in a Mega Drive (PAL or Japan).
