This is a stunning and seemingly rare vintage mid-century ring that stands out for its construction, condition, and design.
The dark green, polished uncut jade is not set in a traditional bezel. Instead, it is affixed directly onto the intricate pierced brass band, creating a bold "floating" architectural effect. This is a sophisticated design choice.
The gold-tone brass shows no wear, brassing, or scratches on the exterior surfaces. The interior shows only the lightest trace of any wear. The adjustable shank is firm and functional. It presents as virtually unworn.
In extensive online searching, I have located only one other example of this specific ring (listed as sold, price unavailable). Its unique design appears to be uncommon in the marketplace.
