This is a North Sea Clothing SUBMARINER turtleneck knit.
This SUBMARINER turtleneck knit is from North Sea Clothing, an Irish knitwear manufacturer that London vintage dealer Neil Starr started producing to the same specifications because the originals were difficult to obtain.
This high-quality item faithfully reproduces the sweaters supplied to British Royal Navy submariners from World War I to World War II.
Made with 100% English wool, it is reconstructed with a modern fit while remaining faithful to the original, featuring wide ribs, reinforced shoulder seams, and drop shoulders.
The new retail price at domestic select shops is approximately 50,000 yen.
The size notation is unreadable due to faded printing.
Actual measurements are: shoulder width 47cm, body width (measured under the armpits) 48cm, length (from the base of the collar) 58cm, sleeve length (ribs extended) 55cm.
It is thought to be equivalent to a men's M to L size.
There are wrinkles and slight fuzzing from storage, but there is no damage that would hinder wear.
