The Dutch painter Louis Busman was born in 1944 in Maassen. He studied at the Pedagogical Academy in Alkmaar and at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. As an art student, he got to know Berlin. In 1971 he moved permanently there. Exciting, thrilling, this city has always been the connection to the Berlin art scene both in the West and the East was easy for him.
