This precision machinist 45° miter square with base is made in Slovakia by Kinex Measuring who has been making world-class measuring instruments since 1906. This square is perfect for the professional machinist, meticulous wood worker, or the DIY perfectionist. The blade is machined from one solid steel blank and will never go out of square. The base allows the square to easily stand on its edge. There is a groove milled in the inner corner to provide clearance for burrs and debris. The faces have a brushed finish, while the reference edges are lapped smooth for straightness and parallelism. Manufactured to strict German DIN 875/2 standards and guaranteed square to within 0.001" over the entire length of the longest edge (that’s just one thousandth of an inch).
