I'm not sure because I can't find a stamp...but the top of the vase sure seems like sterling silver to me. I have seen them with the gold brass flower frog top...but this is silver and open. I took a wipe with some alcohol and some of the black came off....like tarnish on silver. I didn't want to shine it all up though...just got some of it off so I could look better for mark...which I can't find. These were made in the 40s by Falcon ware England.
Cut metal top and gorgeous floral band.
No chips cracks or crazing
