DIY DVD set of 3 discs that shows how to build a building. This set covers the construction of a wooden single-story cabin.
I purchased this for reference when building a cabin, but I'm selling it now that the project is complete.
The DVDs have been tested and play without issue.
Please be aware that this item has been stored at home.
The author of "How to Build Your Own Home" has edited videos of the process of building a wooden structure from the foundation to the roof, almost entirely by himself, and provides detailed explanations with illustrations.
This set is packed with useful information for building a cabin yourself, or for renovating or extending your own home! These 3 discs are packed with the knowledge and know-how necessary to build a building.
If the book "How to Build Your Own Home" is the "knowledge section" of self-building, then these DVDs are truly the "practical skills section."
Since this DVD is for amateurs building with DIY, it does not use expensive tools such as laser levels or air nailers that professionals use these days.
It is made using versatile and common tools, making it easy for many people to put into practice.
(For example, when leveling, instead of using surveying instruments, it introduces a traditional and universal method that anyone can do, using water and a hose.)
The building in question is a wooden frame construction with a floor area of 20 tatami mats (approximately 10 tsubo, or 33 square meters). It was built for 600,000 yen, which is 60,000 yen per tsubo!
Although it is a large cabin in scale, the construction method is the same as a general wooden house, and it has passed the building inspection of the local government.
Now is the age where you can even build a house with DIY! Please use this DVD to help you realize your dreams.
