This is a a set of four decorative saki cups or tea cups featuring elements of traditional Chinese art.
The set includes:
Four red circular pieces, each with a different Chinese character written in white.
A background featuring a black ink-wash style painting, which is a traditional form of Chinese art known as guó huà (国画).
The box itself is labeled "CHINESE TRADITIONAL CULTURAL PRODUCTS."
Translation
The characters on the red pieces, from top to bottom, are:
福 (Fú): meaning "good fortune" or "blessings."
禄 (Lù): meaning "prosperity" or "official's salary."
寿 (Shòu): meaning "longevity."
喜 (Xǐ): meaning "happiness" or "joy."
The text at the top of the box is an excerpt from the Preface to the Poems Collected from the Orchid Pavilion, a famous work by the calligrapher Wang Xizhi (王羲之) from the Jin Dynasty.
Note that there is slight bending of the cardboard holder around the 2nd cup. See first photo with plastic cover off box.
