【Description】
This is a 100% alpaca wool knit, a Bolivian handicraft I purchased for around $100 during a trip to America. The owner of the local vintage shop said it was likely from the 70s-80s. Alpaca material is known as a high-quality fabric, comparable to cashmere. While its distribution is limited, and its name recognition is lower than cashmere, its heat retention and durability are said to rival cashmere. Because it's a luxury animal fiber, it's not often used at 100%, and sweaters using multiple colors are very rare among vintage clothing. Due to recent animal welfare movements, the distribution of luxury animal fibers is decreasing, so if you're looking for one, please take this opportunity to get your hands on it.
