Eleven album set of 33 1/3 vinyl records from Reader's Digest “The Great Big Band Era - 1936-1945.” 37 bands play 10 years of top tunes. The Great Band Era is a compilation of albums featuring Swing music from 1936-1945. Reader's Digest released the album on the RCA Custom label in 1965. In 1988, the Recording Industry Association of America certified 9 million sales of the album – making it one of the top selling albums ever within the United States. The album was released as a ten LP album box set, and this listing includes the bonus Jam Session LP. The album includes many swing favorites, as well as new recordings. This presentation box set and the eleven LP vinyl records are in excellent condition, with minor wear on the hard box.
Good condition for its age. All records appear pristine. I have no way to test the records.
