This particular plant pictured is 8 in. wide and 9 in. tall (above the ground). It is becoming a fully-mature plant and is already pushing out underground pups.
This easy-to-grow species forms a dense clump of slender leaves with harmless teeth along their edges. It prefers full sunshine, but can tolerate some shade. In full sun, the leaves take on beautiful contrasting reddish highlights. It is hardy to around Zone 9 outdoors, but is an easy plant to grow in a pot. This aloe is reported to have the same medicinal properties as the more common Aloe Vera.
