Vintage Yale University Spalding J5V Official Intercollegiate leather football. This is the desirable Spalding J5V model, known for its high-quality construction and use in collegiate play during the 1940s–1950s. The ball features a deep, original YALE embossing, original rawhide laces, and fully intact stitching. The leather shows an excellent natural patina with no cracking, and the ball currently holds air, which is uncommon for balls of this age.
The Spalding branding and “Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.” stamp are still visible, confirming the ball's authenticity as a true mid-century Spalding intercollegiate model.
