Vintage 90 year old Costume Jewelry Sparkling White Faceted Rhinestones and Dull Black Glass (Rhinestones too) plus Prince of Wales floral leaves on matte silver tone metal, which has a detailed latticework filigree backing. Very unique bunch of stringed faux small fresh water pearls in the middle of each earring, painted silver, and looking like a fruit offering in a virtual fruit bowl. These are Depression Era, sultry, and might have been used in Speakeasy Underground Bars. These soft-touch clip-on earrings have a Hollywood Movie Star Look at Costume Jewelry pricing, which is what the public could afford during the Great Depression in the 1930’s. Very historic. Setting prong work on all the stones is careful and nicely angled. Now that the Royals are in the news, these carved little leaves come in groups of 3 and were known as a Royal Family insignia for the Prince of Wales (that would be Prince Charles, next in line to be King). 3/4” diameter. Weighs about 1/2 Ounce. Unsigned. Rare.
