Beautiful pitcher / jug with a raised relief on the body depicting an illustration of knights jousting at the Eglington Tournament in 1839. This is one of the most iconic pieces of the Victorian moulded jugs. It has finely detailed moulding of jousting knights and a band of fruiting vines with gothic arches around the rim. The pitcher / jug celebrates the Eglington Tournament of 1839 which had huge notoriety in its time.
